“The Unit Design Workshop inspired me to be more intentional as I plan each unit, starting with the end in mind. I learned how to convert standards from the curriculum into clear objectives for the unit, and how to move from asking non-essential questions to an essential questions as I plan how to teach the standards. The workshop oriented me more towards being a teacher of skills than content. In addition, it would be much easier for another teacher to either take over or sub for me with units designed and laid out on the template we were given. The three hours were an invaluable time of learning.”
