Religious Education Newsletter 11-2-15

Dear Catechetical Colleagues,

Our "Essential Concept" this week is Sacraments of Healing-Reconciliation and the Anointing of the Sick. As we focus on the Sacraments in the next few weeks, be sure to take a look at Busted Halo You Tube Sacraments 101 channel. A video for each sacrament can be found there. Plus other videos are featured and highlighted below in the Essential Concepts section of the newsletter attached below.

The Annotated Bibliography has been recently updated with some new titles and reorganization of placement of already existing titles, be sure to check often as updates and additions will occur regularly.

Vocation Awareness Week begins on November 1st, 2015. Please take a look in the Featured websites section for resources and more information.

We also celebrate All Saints and All Souls day November 1-2. Here is a musical video you might want to use for an opening prayer with your students that reflects our rich heritage of Catholic saints.

Starting this week, we will have a section devoted to the Jubilee Year of Mercy that begins on December 8th. We will highlight events around the Archdiocese, resources related to the Year of Mercy, and current news and announcements. Be sure to check this section often!
