This week's adjusted schedule

On behalf of the Office for Catholic Schools, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for the number of well wishes and prayers for Sue, Michael, Fulcrum, Holy Family, and OCS. Quite possibly, there is no better testament to the gift of working with a Catholic school community than the ability to share God’s sense of peace and love in challenging times. With a faith that is founded on the joy and hope of the eternal life, I am thankful to work in an environment of faith and with outstanding educators who understand the greatness of the resurrection.

Please note:

Michael Bacigalupi’s Funeral Service:

• Michael’s funeral service will be Thursday morning, 8:30 AM, at Holy Family School – White Center. There will be a short reception in the school gym following the service.
• Michael’s family will be there, as well as the school and parish community.
• I have had the chance to talk with Jackie (School Office Administrator) and she believes that all of the details for Thursday are prepared. However, if she runs across anything that needs addressed and we can help, she’ll let OCS know. We will be sure to pass the word if this occurs.

Leadership Academy:

• Tuesday’s class has been postponed until next month.
• More information will be made available next week regarding date and time for the class.

All Principal’s Meeting:
We have discussed hosting a meeting in a challenging time such as this, as well as cancelling the meeting, altogether. With Michael’s funeral service Thursday morning, we decided it was best to adjust the All Principals’ Meeting. In that light:

• We will gather in the Palisades Chapel at 11:30 AM for a prayer service in thanksgiving for Michael and Sue.
• Lunch is at Noon
• Following lunch, we will gather in our general meeting space and have a very informal meeting ... and take advantage of this time to share friendship and celebrate collegiality.
• Items to be shared include:
  
  • The 2015 – 2016 School Data books will be available for distribution
  • Introduction to the “School Leadership Tree”
  • Brief discussion of the 2016-2017 calendar dates will be shared
  
  

This meeting is completely voluntary. Certainly, I understand if you are unable to make the gathering.
If you are unable to make the meeting, will you reply to this email so that we can provide the Palisades with an approximate lunch count.
