The Social Skills Group (Ages 8-13 - groups are divided by age) is an exciting activity club, provided by Master's level facilitators from the Aspiring Youth Program. Students play fun group games to learn skills including teamwork, conversation initiation, social norms, leadership, and flexibility. Mondays: January 25 - March 21, 2016.
Some of our activities include:
- Portable Challenge: Students pursue group games on a portable challenge course and improve leadership and communication skills
- Comedy Improv: Students learn fun and zany comedy improve games that promote
cognitive flexibility
- Art: Students pursue group art projects that build teamwork skills
The program fee includes support and phone consultations to help generalize skills and review progress.
Participation also includes free access to monthly game nights and participation in the weekly Aspiring Youth Minecraft Server.
