You are invited to a Gathering for Life, Justice & Peace Ministry, Saturday, May 8, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Isaac Orr Conference Center, The Chancery (910 Marion, Seattle). There will be an overview and discussion of Pope Benedict XVI’s recent encyclical Charity in Truth, along with advocacy updates and a workshop about the essential skills needed to start and strengthen your parish’s life, justice and peace ministry. This workshop will be led by Joe Hastings, Catholic Relief Services. There is no cost for this gathering but please register by May 3rd so we can make enough copies of the handouts. Taize Prayer Service for Climate Protection – On April 23rd, the Friday evening Taize prayer service at St. James Cathedral will be a special vigil for climate protection (6:30 pm to 8:00 pm). A reception and discussion will follow.
