Rice Bowl Week 6: 25% of Rice Bowl funds – Assumption School Garden
This week Rice Bowl focuses on the 25% of funds raised through Rice Bowl, which stays in each diocese for local projects. The Archdiocese of Seattle uses this portion of funds to provide small grants to parishes, schools, and organizations in their effort to address hunger and food insecurity. One such grant has been given to Assumption Catholic School in Bellingham for their School Garden. Use the Rice Bowl Lesson Plans and Activity Sheets* for grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12 to learn how U.S. Catholics, through CRS, are in solidarity with our sisters and brothers, here and overseas.
