    Bridging the Gap: Administrative Professionals' Conference 2016

    Spend Administrative Professionals' Day with your peers from around the region. Learn new skills, meet new people, and get inspired as you work toward bridging the gap between analog and digital...between yourself and your colleagues...between "just showing up" and becoming a respected professional resource at work!     Introduction to LEGO Education WeDo

    This is a low-cost opportunity of hands-on exploration of the WeDo Robotics sets, curriculum, and software is made possible through a generous subsidy from LEGO Education. We will cover WeDo hardware and software exploration, hands-on activities, and curriculum connections to STEM Standards and NGSS.     Enhancing Evidence-Based Literacy Practices for Students Who are Behind in Literacy: Can We Catch Them Up?

    This professional development will cover literacy domains (e.g., phonological skills, phonics/spelling, fluency, morphology, comprehension, vocabulary, read alouds, and writing) that require enhancements for students in Tiers 2 and 3. Along with information providing a rationale for teaching the aforementioned literacy domains, participants will engage in hands-on activities to increase their knowledge base.     Full Day Kindergarten and WaKIDS Summit
    July 18-22, 2016 | Vancouver | Hosted by ESD 112

    For kindergarten teachers new to implementing full day kindergarten who are looking to strengthen their existing full day kindergarten classrooms, this summit will cover planning effective, appropriate, and engaging learning environments and experiences.
