I have many teachers who have promised me a registration as a presenter for our Teacher Excellence day. Currently, I have 38 registrations. The list is growing, but still in need of presenters. Please encourage and affirm your teachers to be presenters. Consider teachers or programs that provide the following for your school community and/or classroom:
- Increase knowledge and understanding of cultural rules and biases
- Recognize the complexity of all contributing elements including history, values, politics, communication styles, beliefs and styles
- Grow in empathy through intercultural experiences
- Develop students’ curiosity about other cultures and perspectives
