When introducing the MAP assessment to your students read the NWEA created script, or consider sharing the following key points:
- Give this test your best effort
- This is not a timed test. Students will have enough time to read and answer all the questions
- If the answer is unknown, eliminate some options and select the best one of the remaining choices
- Once Next is selected or Enter key is pressed, the answer to that question cannot be changed
- If the onscreen calculator appears with a test question, click on it to use it
- Use the scroll bar on the right side if the reading passage is too long. Do not skip any reading questions.
