Northwest Catholic's Student Essay Contest!!!!
How can you share Jesus with others?
Open to Catholic school students grades K–12! Northwest Catholic is holding its fifth annual student essay contest. The three first-place essays, with photos of the authors, will be published in the January/February 2018 issue of Northwest Catholic.
The contest is open to students enrolled in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of
Seattle. Essays should answer the following question: “How can you share Jesus
with others?” Word limits are as follows: grades K–5: 250 words; grades 6–8:
350 words; grades 9–12: 500 words.
Essays will be judged on content, creativity and mechanics (organization,
grammar, spelling). Most importantly: Be authentic. Don’t be boring. Essays must be received by October 12.
Each winner will receive $150. Plus a $500 grant for the teacher of his or her choice.
Entries should include the student’s name, contact email address, school name (and city), and grade level. Note: If the contest is used as an all-class or all-school assignment, teachers should choose up to three essays from each class to enter. Individual entries are welcome.
