• V Encuentro - Honoring and Strenthening our Church

On Saturday, October 14, 2017, I had the privilege of representing the Office for Catholic Schools at the Diocesan V Encuentro, Missionary Disciples: Witnesses of God's Love, at the Chancery. Over 200 leaders from across the Archdiocese came together to lift up the voices of the parish-school communities and other participating organizations to give input and help set direction.

The main goal of the V Encuentro is to discern ways in which the Church in the United States can better respond tot he Hispanic/Latino presence, and to strengthen the ways in which Hispanic/Lationos respond to the call to the New Evangelization as missionary disciples serving the entire Church.

There was much to celebrate and there were a myriad of new avenues of opportunity to consider and prioritize, especially centering around supporting our youth, our next generation of leaders. It was a GREAT day!
