Dear Pastor, Principal and Pastoral Life Director:
I am sending you the first of what will be a series of PowerPoint presentations tied to key policies that may need attention and review in our schools.
The first one is in referenced to substitute teachers in our buildings and the manner in which they engage our Safe Environment policies in the Archdiocese of Seattle. This and subsequent communication will be pushed out the following ways:
- The school principal deans for each school deanery will be highlighting these presentations, allowing times for the regional assistant superintendents to make the PowerPoint presentation and address questions.
- The principal forum area of this website will post this presentation and allow for questions and comments from principals in the blog tied to this particular PowerPoint presentation.
- The presentation will also be posted in an area for you to review along with all subsequent presentations so that we have a running record of the policy areas we are reviewing with all the Archdiocesan Level One schools.
- Schools not owned directly by the Archdiocese of Seattle or the Archbishop, namely the Level Two schools, may wish to use these PowerPoints as references for their own internal policies and handbooks.
Thank you, again, for your support of Catholic education and your commitment to good stewardship of our schools through careful attention to the policies and procedures that govern them.
With every best wish and blessing,
Yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Joseph J. Tyson
Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General
Superintendent of Catholic Schools
