WSCC statement on tax-related initiatives

The Washington State Catholic Conference (WSCC) has released a statement concerning the tax-related initiatives that will appear on November’s ballot. The statement is intended to help Catholics in preparing their consciences prior to voting. The title is Seeking the Common Good: Election 2010.

The statement can be photocopied and used as an insert in parish bulletins. Please distribute it as widely as possible.

As another aid to assist Catholic voters in making informed decisions, the WSCC has also prepared Election 2010 – Ballot Measures. It covers all eight of the statewide measures.

Please also remember that the only election-related material to be distributed at parishes and schools needs to be from either the Washington State Catholic Conference or the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
