• NCEA Distinguished Principal Award

    December 13, 2010

    Dear Principals:

We are pleased to announce that our office has been notified by the National Catholic Education Association representative for the Northwest Region, that Kristin Dixon, Our Lady of Guadalupe School principal, has been recognized and awarded the Distinguished Principal Award representing this region. The award stated that Kristin is an outstanding example of the best we can expect in a principal worthy of this award. Kristin’s gifts can be summed up by knowing she is always willing to listen, always willing to learn, always willing to lead or support the leader, and always willing to collaborate to make something greater for the benefit of all. She is truly a blessing, and an outstanding role model of a Catholic School principal in a 21st Century world. We are blessed that she has served our schools, (teacher at St. Monica, teacher and vice principal at All Saints, and principal at Our Lady of Guadalupe for the past 11 years) and are pleased that she will be traveling to the National Catholic Education Association Convention in New Orleans in April to receive her award along with the other 12 principals selected from the entire United States. Please join us as we congratulate her and thank her!!

    Many blessings,

    Most Reverend Joseph J. Tyson
    Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General
    Superintendent of Catholic Schools
