    Join us for the annual Northwest Catholic Educational
    Leadership Institute for Catholic school educators sponsored by
    the Archdiocese of Seattle Catholic Schools Department and
    Seattle University College of Education.
    June 21, 22 and 23, 2011

    Registration to begin February 16, 2011. Space is limited to 200 participants. The Early Bird fee is $375 per person. School teams are encouraged. The fee for teams with 3 or more participants will be $325 per person.
    After April 15, 2011, fees will increase by $100 per person.

    The Northwest Catholic Educational Leadership Institute is a summer institute designed for administrators, central office leadership, teacher leaders, and school teams.

    You will learn:
    • The state and new national standards for reading and math
    • Tools, templates and best practices for aligning curriculum to standards
    • A repertoire of research-based instructional practices for increased student learning and skill development which include differentiation strategies
    • How to apply guidelines and tools for assessing and reporting students' learning of the reading and math state and national standards
    Presenters
    Peggy Olcott, M.Ed.
    Peggy Olcott is an international consultant with over 25 years experience in education, ranging from elementary and middle school teaching to district-level coordination of curriculum and instructional programs. Currently, Peggy presents workshops and seminars on curriculum alignment to state standards, reading and writing strategies across the curriculum, thinking skills, mentoring, and facilitating data-driven dialogue.
    Nancy Skerritt, M.Ed.
    Nancy Skerritt is Assistant Superintendent for the Tahoma School District and has been a leader in Teaching and Learning for 20 years. She is well known in literacy instruction with a focus on Reader's Workshop and thinking skills and is a national trainer for the Institute for the Habits of Mind. A recognized curriculum expert in integrated learning models, Nancy has written numerous units for language arts and social studies that align with state and district standards.
    Emilie Hard, M.Ed.
    Emilie Hard is currently Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for the Issaquah School District, after serving as principal of Glacier Park Elementary for 10 years. Under her leadership, Glacier Park saw a steady increase in Washington state's assessments for reading and math test scores, and the school was awarded a Distinguished School Award from the state. Emilie also served as the Tahoma School District's math expert and helped design Tahoma's math core assessment.
