Service PartnershipAs our schools continue their efforts to support Christ-centered service projects, Friends of the Orphans is a non-profit organization that has many local Catholic school partnerships already established and new opportunities for all to consider.
Plans are being made for a Mission Trip to Nicaragua for summer 2011. This trip will be co-led by Events Manager Kristen Bagley and longtime NW regional supporter and volunteer, Joe Cotton, who is currently a professional lay minister with the Archdiocese of Seattle and a Residence Minister at Seattle University. Friends of the Orphans Northwest is in the process of organizing our first annual youth mission trip to the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos home in Jinotepe, Nicaragua. This trip will include youth and young adults from several high schools and parishes in the greater Seattle area. Friends of the Orphans have allocated 20 spots for the trip, including chaperones, which will take place Sunday, June 26th – Sunday, July 3rd.
For additional information, school leaders may contact Katie Hultquist, Northwest Regional Director, at 425-646-3935 or Kristen Bagley at kbagley@friendsus.org . These leaders would love to get together with you at some point to learn more about your schools and if there are other ways they can support your educational mission. |
