Encourage youth ministers and middle/high school teachers in your diocese to sign up for the webinar, “Youth Ministry Confronts Global Poverty,” on February 17, 2011 from 11:00am-12:30 p.m. (Pacific time).
The webinar, sponsored by the National Association of Catholic Youth Ministry Leaders (NACYML), will feature Ted Miles (Catholic Relief Services) and Jill Rauh (U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops) and will provide information and resources to help educate and mobilize Catholic youth in parishes and schools to take action through Catholics Confront Global Poverty, an initiative co-sponsored by USCCB and CRS. In recent years, most dioceses have instituted a certification process for youth ministers, religious educators, and catechists. NACYML’s On Course webinars are usually accepted to fulfill those requirements.
