Dear Principals,
March 25th Deanery Curriculum Day: Thank you to all the schools and deaneries who have sent in your paperwork and plans for this day of professional development. There are still some schools finalizing their plans, so please just submit your paperwork to me when ready and I will process accordingly. Clarification: Some schools who are in their year of self-study are wondering if this day can be used as an approved Accreditation in-service day. I have visited with Kay Purcell, and she is agreeable to grant clock hours for this day if the approved agenda is specific and has clearly stated teacher outcomes for the day. Again, the full clock hour documentation protocol (sign-in sheets, evaluations, etc) must be followed and Kay will then determine approval. If this accreditation day is designed for clock hours, you are welcome to apply for the $300.00 local building funding to assist in your accreditation needs for that day.
Successful Tech Tuesday Lunch Launch! The first Tech Tuesday Lunch was a success. An attendee asked for a way to show Professional Certification detail in AppliTrack. We created a new preset called “Certification” that also includes the Expiration date. The next Tech Lunch is Tuesday, March 1st from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the CSD. We order lunches and you or your delegate just need to bring a laptop with Wifi access. Please sign up to confirm your spot at CSD@seattlearch.org or send us your suggestions/needs regarding tech tools such as SeeCelebrateAndLive.org, AppliTrack, or any tech items.
