CYO Camp Invitation

Dear Principals,

As we reach the beginning of May the Catholic Youth Organization is making great headway towards reaching our goal of 1590 campers for this summer. Reaching this number not only gives us the opportunity to minister to those individuals and connect them into a life with Christ through your catholic school, but gives us the financial stability needed for this ministry to continue. While we are making great progress, now is the time for you to rally your school to the cause and encourage camp registration!

Schools across the Archdiocese have been putting out brochures and running announcements and for this we thank you. We have reached a level of visibility that camps have not had in years with your help. Now that people have seen the information we need to reach out and specifically ask people to sign up. Schools will be winding down soon and if they don’t get camp on their calendars now, the chances of it happening go down drastically. Your specific and intentional support is crucial to getting youth to camp. Kids don’t go to camp because of a flyer or brochure, rather because someone invites them. Now, and over the next couple of weeks, please invite your youth specifically to encounter Christ through camp. This invitation can be done in any number of ways; you know your school better than we ever could and know who should be asking and how. Please have those people ask.

Thank you for your continued support over the last few months. One of your main goals this summer is to help connect the schools with their youth that come to camp so that camp involvement increases school involvement. For youth to have conversion experiences at camp that bear fruit in your school the youth of your school need to sign up.
