• Vocation Awareness

    August 12. 2011

    Dear Educators,

“One and all are called to work for the coming of the Kingdom of God according to the diversity of callings , situations, charism and ministries.” “The promotion of vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life cannot be understood in isolation from the universal baptismal call to holiness and service. Vocations will flourish in a church where each member can identify and concretely live out the call to life and holiness, to discipleship and communion, to witness and mission.”

Thank you for your call, willingness and commitment to Catholic education. You are a blessing to parents, students and to each other. You have a responsibility and unique opportunity to instill the love of God for each person. Thank you for assisting the Seattle Archdiocesan Vocation Committee in deepening a culture of vocations by your vibrant life of prayer and witness to Catholic Education. We have deeply appreciated being able to come into the Catholic Schools to speak and share about our life as Sisters, Priests and Brothers. We have been enriched by the interactions of the staff and students. You have gifted and affirmed our call.

The Seattle Archdiocesan Vocation Committee would like to assist you in carrying out the responsibilities of vocation awareness. We have 30 minutes interactive presentations for each grade level which includes introductions, prayer, presentations and time for questions and answers. We have hand-outs for the students as a follow up of our visits. We look forward to collaborating on this crucial endeavor of vocation awareness.
